On February 4, competitive negotiation report of Guangzhou rail transit line 7 phase-Ⅰproject was signed and went into effect. It is CSR Times’ first order in the urban rail traction system project, with approximate RMB 200 million contract value in 2013. It marks a breakthrough in newly-built project of propulsion system in the Pearl River Delta.
There are 9 stations in the line which starts from Guangzhou South Station and ends in University Town South Station and the overall length is 18.60km with maximum speed 80km/h. 23 B-type trains of 4M2T marshalling 6 , totalling 138 are purchased and expected to put into operation in 2016.
