CRRC electric drive is an essential layout of the "concentric diversification" development strategy of CRRC Zhuzhousuo, which applies the innovative technology of "safety, reliability and intelligence" of rail transportation to the field of new energy vehicles. The Zhigu Factory of CRRC Electric Drive System Zhigu was officially completed and put into operation, mainly for the production of electric drive systems and related components for new energy passenger cars, which is the first electric drive system production and manufacturing base of CRRC with full industrial chain capability, and is a milestone in promoting the development of CRRC's automotive electric drive industry, and a key step in supporting CRRC's cross-border realization of new dreams. In the same year, the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province awarded a plaque of "Engineering Technology Research Centre" to CRRC Times Electric.

TÜV Rheinland Greater China, an international independent third-party testing, inspection and certification body, issued an ASIL C-level product functional safety certificate based on the ISO 26262:2018 standard to the Company's new energy vehicle motor controller tPower-DM3000, which means that the functional safety of CRRC electric drive system products has reached an industry-leading level. The platform product also passed the Class 5 test of EMC CISPR 25:2016 standard with load at a third-party testing institute in October of that year, becoming the first component company in China to pass the Class 5 test with load, consolidating the leading position of CRRC in the field of automotive EMC and laying a solid foundation for the further development of the industry.

The 100,000th product roll-out ceremony and the 2nd CRRC Electric Drive Independent Innovation Summit Forum were held in Zhuzhou, where the 100,000th product of CRRC Electric Drive was officially rolled out. The C-Power 220s, a high-voltage SiC electric drive system product under the C-Car platform, was also released, which is the first independent silicon carbide electric drive system product in China, marking a new stage in the development of the Company's passenger car electric drive industry.

The tPower-DM3027, a new energy vehicle motor controller of CRRC Times Electric, has been awarded the industry's first "double certification" for motor controller power safety, which is a certificate of power safety issued by an authoritative certification body after the new energy vehicle motor controller of CRRC Times Electric passed the functional safety product certification in 2020, meaning that the power safety of CRRC electric drive products has reached the industry's leading level. In the same month, in the July ranking of the new energy passenger vehicle electric drive industry released by NE Times, a third-party authority, CRRC Times Electric ranked fourth in the industry with 17,148 installed systems, achieving a year-on-year growth of over 500% and a market share of 6%.

CRRC and FAW Group signed an agreement on an electric drive joint venture, a move that marks a further deepening of cooperation between the two sides to achieve resource sharing and a strong alliance to contribute to the development of China's new energy vehicle industry as a national force.
