Yesterday, the series solutions of the DC network electric propulsion system for inland river new energy riverboat and new product launch has reached a success in Zhuzhou.
At the meeting, the DC frequency conversion and distribution integration device for 500kW inland river new energy riverboat and the 80kW three-in-one electric drive system independently developed by CRRC Times Electric were released, which will be promoted and applied in projects such as the "Jialing Pearl" luxury yacht.

The 500kW device is 1800mm high, voltage compatible with DC750V/1000V, and with portable functional unit, which can realize flexible configuration of hybrid/pure electric multiple topology. It is a platform product specially designed for the diverse application scenarios of new energy riverboat, with the characteristics of compact, high energy efficiency and lightweight. As a result, it meets the mainstream demand of 160kW~500kW inland river new energy riverboat electric propulsion system.
80kW 3-in-1 electric drive system
The controller, gearbox and permanent magnet motor of the 80kW three-in-one electric drive system are integrated with more than 96% efficiency and a weight of 50kg, which is a shelf product designed for small cruise ships.
Since 2018, based on the technical achievements in the field of rail transit, industrial transmission and new energy application, CRRC Times Electric has developed an integrated platform device of 2MW riverboat DC network converter and distribution, which was applied to the "Greater Bay Area" of coastal sightseeing cruise ships in 2020 The project adopts flexible grid-connected/off-grid technology for daily power supply, permanent magnet power generation and other technologies to solve user's requirements such as inductorless switching of ship/shore AC power supply with high efficiency and light weight.
Based on the 2MW DC network technology platform, the company has developed the 500kW and 80kW DC network platforms released this time. So far, the company has formed a product spectrum covering 40kW ~ 2MW, with CCS type approved and its principle recognized, to meet the needs of users at different levels.
