“The Technology Application Training Course of Rail Transit for Developing Countries” is a series of activities including training, communication, visiting, etc. This training course is supported by government through inviting the transportation officials of developing countries to China. Ever since the first holding in 2014, it’s being held once a year. This course would continue for 56 days, with 41 officials and engineers from 10 countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America attending.
During the training period, the participants made a tour to Changsha, Zhuzhou, Qingdao, Changchun, Beijing, Ningbo, etc, visiting CRRC Times Electric, CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive CO. Ltd, Changsha Metro, CRRC headquarter, etc.
The successful hosting of rail training course has promoted a further mutual understanding and cooperation with other developing countries. In 2014, CRRC Times Electric won an order of 35 sets of propulsion & control systems from Ethiopia. It was a great breakout for Chinese intellectual property law locomotive in overseas market. In addition, CRRC Times Electric has completely delivered the contract for 49 sets of LKJ (Train operation inspection monitoring system) with Ethiopia. It has a great significance for CRRC Times Electric in African market.
As representing China's manufacturing sector, CRRC Times Electric responds positively to the national development strategy "One Belt, One Road". Nowadays, the urban rail vehicles and new energy buses, equipped with CRCC propulsion systems, have successfully broken into Latin American market (Such as Argentina, Brazil, etc). In Argentina, 709 urban rail vehicles have successfully entered in Buenos Aires. In Belgrano, CRRC has supplied 100 diesel locomotives and 3500 trucks for 1700km long railway. In Brazil, 608 urban rail vehicles have successfully worked for Rio World Cup.
In 2014, the first international training class for high-speed rail was launched. Many foreign experts came to study.
On Sep.11, 2014, the first international training class for high-speed rail was launched in CRRC Zhuzhou Institute. The class consisted of 22 railway officials and experts from 9 English-speaking African countries (including South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, etc.)
The training course lasted for 21 days. Through on-scene observation and intensive classes, it made a deep explanation on the professional knowledge, including high-speed rail, main-line locomotive, urban rail transit vehicle, low-speed Maglev Train, etc.
In 2015, Experts from 7 countries of Europe, Africa and Latin America, came to CRRC Times Electric for learning high-speed technology.
Since the study of experts from 9 African countries last year, on Oct.26, there were 25 experts from 7 countries of Europe, Africa, Latin America attending the rail transmit training course in CRRC.
The experts are mainly from Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, Panama, Dominica, Macedonia and Ethiopia. Some of them are local transportation officials, some are the experts of railway technology, or principals of local subway operation corp.
