Recently, TEC (CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Power Grid England of Alstom hereinafter referred to as PEA, and both sides achieved preliminary intent of cooperation on the development of global power transmission and distribution market. It is another significant measure in its electric and electronic internationalization strategy since its acquisition of Dynex company .
Li Donglin, executive director & general manager of TEC and Jean NAKACHE, vice president of PEA signed the memorandum. According to the agreement, PEA as the solution provider in the global power transmission and distribution market and TEC with its subsidiaries Dynex as the main supplier on semiconductor devices, components, subassemblies and assemblies will develop close cooperation in R & D of relevant projects both at home and abroad market in order to jointly offer the power electronic solutions in power T&D market.
Jean NAKACHE , Vice President of PEA, said” Since TEC is the major supplier in power semiconductor devices industry in China, PEA attaches great attention to bilateral win-win cooperation, and we hope both sides would establish a long-term & friendly partnership and make good use of complementary advantages respectively to achieve brilliant performance.”

Over the past years, rooted in the rail transportation field, TEC implemented the industrialization of the core components synchronously. In 2006, TEC successfully developed the world's first 6-inch 8000V thyristor with the highest current & voltage and biggest diameter. It also actively enter the HVDC transmission field by finishing a series of power transmission projects sunch as Gaolingproject, Lingbao project, Genanproject and Ningdong project, which made remarkable contribution to the construction of China smart grid.
PEA, previously known as AREVA power T&D Co, Ltd., is a leading company in the power transmission infrastructure field. In recent years, it has been strongly expanding its power transmission business in China. And it has a long history of coopeartion with TEC. In 2009, TEC with its subsidiary Dynex signed a cooperation agreement with AREVA power T&D Co. Ltd., the predecessor of PEA.
This agreement between TEC and PEA will greatly improve both sides’ influence in global power T&D market, and pave a good way for bilateral further cooperation.
