On January 6, the "Top Ten Scientific News in Hunan" in 2022 selected by the Hunan Scientific News Association with the academician experts and scientific journalists as the judges was unveiled in Changsha. Among them, "the two international IPC standards sponsored mainly by Zhuzhou Institute are released globally" by CRRC Zhuzhou Institute was selected as the "Top Ten Scientific News in Hunan" in 2022.
Two IPC standards are officially released globally
In June 2022, the international IPC standard IPC/WHMA-A-620CR "Requirements and Acceptance of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies - Supplementary Standard for Rail Transit" and IPC-A-610GR "Acceptability of Electronic Components - Supplementary Standard for Rail Transit" developed mainly by CRRC Zhuzhou Institute were officially released worldwide simultaneously.
The two standards were sponsored and led by CRRC Zhuzhou Institute and were approved to set up the project at the same time in October 2018. After four and three on-site meetings, 26 and 21 online meetings, and repeated discussions and revisions, their drafts by the working group were finalized in June 2021. After global opinion collection and public voting in September and December in 2021 as well as several months of deliberate editing and verification, they were released worldwide in the end.
IPC/WHMA-A-620CR "Requirements and Acceptance of Cables and Wire Harness Assemblies - Supplementary Standards for Rail Transit" specifies the operation and acceptance requirements for assembly and manufacture of cables, wires and wire harness assemblies for rail transit equipment. IPC-A-610GR "Acceptability of Electronic Components - Supplementary Standard for Rail Transit" stipulates the manufacturing requirements and appearance acceptance requirements of the electronic components for rail transit equipment.
These two standards are applicable to rail transit equipment products of Level 3 and above to ensure that they satisfy the industry-specific high reliability and environmental adaptability. Their release and implementation will contribute to uniform standardization of the technology and quality assessment reference basis of cable and wire harness components and electronic components in the rail transit industry when they are manufactured, delivered and accepted, thus ensuring that they meet the specific requirements of the rail transit industry in function, performance and reliability.
The release of the two standards has signified that
the rail transit industry in the world has ushered in
the first international IPC electronic industry standard and
further expanded the company's leading position
in the industry and the development of international standards.
