Locomotive Exported to German Passed EU EMC Test for the First Time

Date:2019-05-27 Author: Source:

Recently, the German DB hybrid shunting locomotive equipped with the CRRC Times Electric's telex traction system successfully passed the whole vehicle EMC test in Minden, Germany, which means that the whole vehicle has fully met the requirements of the German locomotive EMC test.

European Union Railway Certification and North American Railway Certification are the two most influential regional railway certifications in the world. If they pass the corresponding certification, they will also mean obtaining a permit to enter the region. For locomotive products entering the core EU countries, the EU strictly requires that they must be certified by three conformity assessment bodies: NoBo, DeBo and AsBo. This EMC test is one of the important points of DeBo and NoBo certification. It is divided into static test and dynamic test. It is very demanding and difficult, and has never been carried out before in domestic locomotives.

This is the first time that the domestic export locomotives have passed the German vehicle EMC test. It marks a solid and important step for the company's telex traction system products to enter the German high-end rail transit market.
